Welcome to Spalding Folk Club

Four out of five members of the Parrot Band had songs in the Radio Lincs competition finals this year - neither John, Penny nor Paul got anywhere but Mark Addison won with his song Sea Change, with a tune by Kate Abbott.

After eight years of performing in the Tulip Parade a certain style had evolved in Spalding Folk Club's contribution (here's a taste).  If you look closely you can see the youthful Miranda Sykes, who later went on to greater things with Show of Hands and many others. (2nd row, 2nd from R)
